Birdshill Neighborhood Association is hosting a presentation by John Charles of Cascade Policy Institute.  The subject will be light rail, street car, and bus transit options.  I have heard his talk and have heard METRO and the Street Car Task Force.  This presentation is one the City of Lake Oswego does not want you to hear.  Regardless of your stand on this project, you will want to hear this talk which points out the actual costs, national trends, usage of existing street cars, and the extremely shaky financial status of TriMet.

Please pass this on to your mailing list.   Even our friends in Milwaukie would be interested as they are facing the light rail project.  This is not a partisan issue – this is  information that all citizens need to have to make an informed decision. 

The City will be presenting their side in numerous venues in the weeks to come.  They have so far refused to let this be presented to the citizens.
