The Cascade Amateur Radio Society (CARS) is offering another compressed Amateur Radio Technician class (Ham Radio Technician Class) on Nov. 6th and 7th.

This is a compressed class format, the teachers will present all of the information needed in order to successfully pass the Technician exam. While there is time for questions and answers, the compressed format requires the material to be covered at a fairly quick pace. Please review the Technician Exam material before you attend the class if your style of learning requires a more in-depth approach (an online search for "Amateur Radio Technician Exam Questions" can direct you to the material, there's a lot of it out there - I personally like the study guide at
http://hamelmer.com/Assets/Docs/Tech/HamElmer%20Technician%20Study%20Guide%202.1.pdf).

Class info:

Friday, November 6th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 pm (part 1 of 2)
Saturday, November 7th, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (part 2 of 2)

Break for lunch/study (bring your own lunch – or buy at a local restaurant)

Testing for any level (Technician, General, Extra) will begin Saturday at 2:00 PM and continue until exams are finished.

The class is free; however, there is a $15 fee for testing (please bring correct change or a check).

Class Location: LDS Stake Center 14903 SW Westlake Drive, Lake Oswego, OR
